The European Bitumen Shingle Organization (EBSO) gathers the major manufacturers of bitumen shingles with manufacturing facilities in Europe, including Turkey and Russia.
EBSO was created in 1994 and has its head quarter in rue La Pérouse 6-14, F-75016 Paris (France).
Since January 2008, Mr François Laslier has been acting as President of the organization; Mr Luciano Mazzer is vice President.
The other members of the Board are: Mr Jozef Bonfil, Mr Nils Agnar Brunborg, Mr Dominique Capitaine, Mr Daniele Cerutti, Mr Ahti Kekonen, Mr Wail Khanfar, Mr Jaakko Tuominen and Mr Rolf Dieter Wiegmann.
Mr Erik Goger is the General Secretary.
The mission of EBSO is to be a platform for European manufacturers enabling them to:
- define appropriate norms for shingles considering the specific needs of the European market in terms of quality, durability, architecture and local habits
- defend the interests of its members
- promote shingles as a top quality roofing material
